Ashu Malik made his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut in Season 8 with Dabang Delhi K.C. Despite being a rookie, he impressed everyone with his raiding skills and calm demeanor under pressure. The team retained him for a sum of Rs. 18.5 lakh in his second season. In the 9th season of PKL, he played 23 matches and scored a total of 158 points, with 141 of them being raid points.
The 2023 season proved to be Ashu’s breakout year. He amassed an impressive 276 raid points in 23 matches, finishing as the joint-highest raid point scorer of the PKL 10 season. His consistent performance and ability to score crucial points in tight situations made him a key figure in Dabang Delhi’s strategies.
In the 2024 PKL auction, Ashu’s stock rose significantly. Dabang Delhi bought him back for a whopping Rs. 96.25 lakh, making him one of the most expensive young players in Pro Kabaddi 2024 season.
