The much-anticipated war film Border 2 is gearing up for a theatrical release on Republic Day weekend, 23 January 2026. The film’s star-studded cast has just added another name, with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh joining the ensemble, which already includes Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan.
The announcement of Diljit Dosanjh’s involvement comes hot on the heels of Sunny Deol’s recent revelation about Varun Dhawan’s addition to the project. The story is set against the backdrop of the historic Battle of Longewala, maintaining continuity with the original 1997 film, Border. Production for the movie is scheduled to begin in October this year.
